Santa Mira Springs is a small town that suddenly begins seeing a lot of violent deaths. Soon, it's apparent the deaths are the result of attacks from genetically engineered rattlesnakes. The U.S. Army is sent out to quarantine the victims and help contain the snakes. The doctors come up with anti-venom, but the Army general isn't keen on hearing that when Dr. Christine tells them of their discovery -- they're going to bomb the entire town with a Stealth fighter anyway. (The media and the President were told everyone's dead, and the bombing will contain the snakes, thus covering up the Army's experiment.) Dr. David heads out to the Army tends, and he's also tied up, next to Christine. Major Gen. Sparks admits to them that the Army created the snakes, to be used against in Iraq. Gen. Manchek tries to call off the bombing, and Sparks kills him; Sparks flies off in a chopper, but snakes in the chopper have him shooting, he kills the pilot, and the chopper crashes. Christine and David escape, and tell the media what happened; the bomber is called off. The doctors save Susan (Jimmy's mom/Christine's sister), and make anti-venom to save people. Christine rethinks her thoughts of leaving, and tells David she'd like a job at the hospital. The snake den is destroyed, but we close with seeing a few rattlesnakes hissing away in their den. |
