| Gigli is a small-time thug, who's paid to kidnap Brian, a mildly retarded brother of a federal prosecutor, in an effort to avoid conviction of a mob boss (again with the mob bosses), and hold him in his apartment. Somewhere along the way of this disaster film, Ricki is assigned by Gigli's boss to help, because the boss apparently doesn't think too much of Gigli's abilities. The to-be-expected romance develops between these two crooks, Gigli begins to see their kidnap victim as a person, which is also bad business. The three end up at the hospital, convenient, as Gigli is ordered by his boss to cut off Brian's thumb and send it to the prosecutor brother as a sign they mean business; Gigli gets a thumb from a corpse in the hospital morgue. After a night together, Gigli and Ricki decide to drop Brian at the beach, and go their separate ways; Ricki takes off, Gigli and Brian have a chat, and Gigli calls the cops to tell 'em where to find Brian. Gigli walks down the road, and Ricki picks him up, and they drive off. |
