The Godfather: Part II 1974 200 R 4.5 out of 5 ducks
Ending
The film jumps a bit between the life of Don Vito (now dead) as a young man in the 1910s and he pays his dues and is able to create his own crime family, and of Michael as he runs the family today (in the 1950s). Michael is trying to expand the business into Vegas, Hollywood, and even Cuba (and why not? Cuba and the U.S. didn't really get into the pissing contest until the mid 1960s). Michael's older brother Fredo is suspected of double-crossing the family, and Michael tells Fredo he wants nothing more to do with him. (The double-cross is suspected when Michael is called to testify before Congress, at the end of which they bring Frankie Pentangeli to testify against Michael... but under oath, he knows nothing of it.) Michael's wife, Kate, announces she's leaving him, and the miscarriage was actually an abortion. Michael's mom, Don Vito's wife, pass away, and now that mom's dead, they kill Fredo. Frankie kills himself in the bathtub. Roth is killed in the airport, and the cops shoot and kill Roth's killer. Moving film reel
