A Knight's Tale 2001 132 PG-13 2.5 out of 5 ducks
Ending
William Thatcher, a poor peasant, squires for Sir Ector. Too bad Sir Ector kicks the bucket, leaving Will (and his comrades Wat and Roland) destitute. Will decides to take on Sir Ectorís lordly duties as a jouster. The boys meet Chaucer during the course of their travels. He helps Will forge some documents that will allow Will to joust in a big, money-making tournament. So Will becomes Sir Ulrich. During the match, heís the only one who is willing to fight the Prince of Wales. Everyone else refuses. Willís adversary, Count Adhemar, follows Sir Ulrich/Will to his childhood home in Cheapside, one of the poorest parts of London. After learning of less-than-royal blood flowing through Willís veins, Adhemar has him clapped in the stocks. Edward, the Prince, frees Will and knights him as well. Sir William returns to the match against evil Adhemar. The count cheats and wounds Will. Our hero is victorious though and gets the girl, Jocelyn, in the end. Moving film reel
