Kramer vs. Kramer 1979 105 PG 3.5 out of 5 ducks
Ending
Ted is an ad man whose work comes first. Wife Joanna is miserable, and walks out on him and their six-year-old son Billy. She's gone for 15 months, during which time Ted learns to be a parent, listen to his kid, and the two even form a decent relationship. Joanna shows up, decides she wants custody, and we end up in court (hence Kramer versus Kramer). At the end of the hearing, Joanna is awarded primary custody and $400 a month in child support, and Ted gets visitation rights. He tells his lawyer he wants to appeal, but the lawyer warns that means the kid has to testify; Ted won't allow that. After Ted tells Billy about the new living arrangements, they make breakfast together (much like their first breakfast after Joanna left, except now they're far better at making french toast), and Joanna shows up to get him. She admits she realizes she came over to bring her son home, but has come to terms with him already being at home. Joanna takes the elevator up to see Billy in his home with Ted, she asks how she looks, and he tells her she looks terrific. Moving film reel
