The Sentinel 2006 108 PG-13 3.0 out of 5 ducks
Ending
Secret Service Agent Pete is on the Presidential Protection Detail; he's also having an affair with the First Lady, Sarah, who's Presidential hubby has some terrorists trying to kill him by using an insider is the Detail. The all take lie detector tests, and Pete is flagged because he lied (relative to the affair). Agent Breckinridge is Pete's adversary (Breckinridge suspects Pete slept with his wife a decade before; not true); Breckinridge is aided by newbie agent Jill. Pete manages to untangle the plot enough to expose it just as the President is about to be routed into a death trap by the bad agent Montrose (who seems to flip coins to make random decisions in the name of security and went on the KGB payroll 20 years ago). Breckinridge only believes Pete's innocence about the plot after First Lady tells Breckinridge the truth about her and Pete. Pete is able to get the President out to the cars, the last assassin was killed as he approached the President, and all are safe. In closing, Pete retires as a result of his breach, but gets nothing but smiles from his colleagues as he leaves. Moving film reel
