The Silence of the Lambs 1991 118 R 4.0 out of 5 ducks
FBI Agent recruit Clarice Starling is brought in to crack the tough nut Hannibal Lecter, since none of the real FBI agents can get him to talk. (His work as a shrink, despite himself being a nut, has put him in contact with several serial killers, and the FBI is hoping his help will get them the lead needed to catch the killer Buffalo Bill, who's current hostage is a senator's daughter.) Through a series of cryptic clues, some typical deception you'd expect of an agent of the FBI, and other lies, Hannibal is moved to another facility and duly escapes. Starling manages to catch the killer with Hannibal's clues and her own thought process. Hannibal is free to roam the streets having escaped, where he gives Starling a call just to tell her he won't come after her -- he feels the world is a much more interesting place with her in it.
