Ray is an ex-con and a dishwasher, married to Frenchy (who does nails). Ray convinces Frenchy and some ex-convicts to buy into a pizza parlor because it is next to a bank and he plans on digging from the pizza parlor to the bank. Frenchy canít cook pizza, but she can make cookies, so they go with a cookie store idea. While Frenchy bakes and sells her cookies the boys start digging a tunnel from the basement towards the bank. After several weeks of digging, then end up in a dress shop because Ray read the map wrong. Frenchyís cookies are selling well, so they decide to forget about robbing the bank and franchise the cookie shop. A year later, Ray, Frenchy, and all the ex-cons are rich and each running a different part of the business. Frenchy has decided that she likes living the high life and employs David to help her to become smarter and worldlier. Frenchy develops a crush on David and buys him an expensive cigarette case encrusted in diamonds that once belonged to a Duke. David invites her to join him in Europe for a month because he has an agenda of his own, to marry Frenchy and her fortune. Frenchy and Ray fight over being rich, and Ray says he wants out and leaves. Frenchy goes off to Europe with David. While at a concert, Frenchy gets a phone call that she has to come back to the U.S.; she hops on a plane. While, she was in Europe Ray gets the idea to steal a valuable emerald and diamond necklace. He shows a guy in Chinatown a picture of the necklace and he makes him a fake. Ray goes to a dinner party where the necklace is at, and using Frenchy's less than bright cousin as a lookout, tries to switch the necklaces. The lady of the house almost catches them and Ray gets confused with which necklace is which, but grabs one and they leave. On their way out, someone informs Ray that Frenchy is now bankrupt. In her emergency meeting Frenchy learned that her accountants have taken all her money and slipped off to Venezuela. Distraught she heads to David's and he dumps her once he realizes that she is poor. She asks him for the cigarette case back and he says no. Frenchy heads home, and Ray shows up to see how she is. Frenchy is happy to see him and tells him what happened and apologizes for being an idiot. Ray says, no worries and shows her the necklace he stole. Frenchy realizes that he grabbed the wrong one, and Ray feels like a fool. Frenchy tells him, no worries, she has something better and shows him the cigarette case that she stole back from David. The agree to sell it and move to Florida like they always planned. Moving film reel
