Title Year Length (Minutes) MPAA Rating My Rating
Infamous 2006 110 R 2.5 out of 5 ducks
Much like the film Capote: Truman Capote leapt from the role of short story writer and New York socialite to write the story of the two men arrested, convicted and eventually executed for the murder of a couple and two of their children in a Kansas farmhouse. During the writing, Capote develops a close friendship with one of the killers, Perry Smith. Capote writes the book of the event, and Perry eventually confesses to Capote (this despite for a while feeling the other convicted man, Richard Hickock, may have been the trigger man). The film ends soon after the two men are hanged after exhausting all appeals, and in end notes we learn the book ("In Cold Blood") was the last Capote ever finished; he died in 1984 of complications resulting from alcoholism. The only difference was that in this movie, Capote had an affair with Perry Smith, not just a close friendship. Moving film reel
