Ending
Tracy is the smart, popular girl at Carver High, and having an affair with Dave, a teacher; he's fired and moves away. Her other teacher, Mr. McAllister, is the most involved teacher at school; he's flirting with Linda, Dave's wife. The school election is coming up, and Tracy runs unopposed. McAllister encourages dumb jock Paul to run against her after he broke his leg. Tracy is mortified that Paul is even trying to compete. Tammy, Paul's lesbian sister, gets dumped by her girlfriend, Lisa (so Lisa can date Paul). Tammy decides she should also run for president to get revenge on Paul. They give their speeches; the first two are the usual stuff, and Tammy argues abolishing all school politics. Tracy rips down Paul's posters and dumping them (and Tammy witnesses the dumping), but she tells them she did it, and is expelled. Tammy's parents send her to Immaculate Heart, an all girls' school, much to Tammy's unspoken approval. The night before the election, Tracy, Paul and Tammy all pray in their own way. Tammy is out of the election, the votes come down to Tracy winning by one vote (Paul also votes for Tracy). McAllister throws it away, but is caught and resigns, Tammy wins in the end, and McAllister gets divorced and only gets to keep the car. Moving film reel
