Ending
Danielle's mom dies suddenly, and she is forced to the status of servant for her new stepmother, Rodmilla, and her two daughters, Marguerite and Jacqueline (the evil one, and the nicer one), who become Danielle's stepsisters. (Sounding like Cinderella? It's supposed to.) Despite all this, Danielle grows up to be a happy and determined young woman. She meets Prince Henry, who is destined to become king of France once of these days. To meet Henry again, she has to pretend to be a noblewoman, and he grows fond of Danielle. Being French, they choose a date for Henry to marry, even without a bride in mind, so it's a race against time to be the chick who wears the veil on that special day. Danielle shows up at a royal gathering, with gigantic wings, to tell Henry she's not engaged. Rodmilla exposes Danielle as a servant girl, nothing more... she tells the truth, he sends her away, leaving a slipper behind. At the altar, the bride won't stop crying, and Henry sends her off, and runs to find and marry Danielle. Rodmilla and Marguerite are left to live out their days and as laundry for lying to the King and Queen. Moving film reel
