Ending
Aggressive Romulan encounter the USS Kelvin, whose captain puts George Kirk in charge of evacuating the ship. After Romulan forces kill the captain, George tries to follow orders, but a malfunction forces him to stay with the crippled ship, but evacuates his pregnant wife; she gives birth to James, and the Kelvin crashes into the Romulus ship. On Earth, James grows up angry and bitter, and Captain Pike convinces him to join Starfleet, even though his dad died with them. Kirk meets McCoy, and Kirk is suspected of cheating on a test. McCoy brings Kirk sneak onto the USS Enterprise (gives him a shot, then claims he must go due to a doctor-patient relationship), and the ship is off to investigate a problem. They encounter a Romulan ship, Pike promotes Spoke to captain of Enterprise and Kirk to First Officer, to Spock's annoyance (they don't get along). Some running and fighting, and Vulcan is destroyed; Spock makes a note of now being an endangered species. Enterprise's crew surmise the Romulan ship is from the future (via the black hole technology), which coincides with the parallel birth of James Kirk, and he meets the elder Spock. Old Spock explains to Kirk the destiny is for Kirk and young Spock to be good pals, and Earth's safety from the Romulans depends on it. Inspired, Kirk takes command of Enterprise, destroys the Romulan ship with some red rock matter of the Vulcan planet, and he and young Spock connect as pals. Kirk is promoted to Captain of Enterprise, and Spock accepts being First Officer. McCoy and the others are all along in Enterprise as well (different faces, same roles as previous Star Trek installments.) Moving film reel
