Ending
Joel owns an extract manufacturing plant with a crew that's less than happy, and plant foreman Brian won't bother to learn the employees' names. At home, Joel and his wife Suzie haven't had the hot lovin' in months, and Joel's bartender pal Dean suggests he hire a gigolo to test Suzie's fidelity (and send the guy in as a pool boy). Meanwhile, scam artist Cindy learns of plant employee Step's injury, and shows up to get a job at the factory, and meet him (he's off work), and encourages him to sue versus settle (despite a lawsuit would bankrupt the company). Dean rationalizes if Suzie sleeps with the gigolo, then Joel would be free to pursue a fling with Cindy. Dean badgers Joel into taking some random prescription pill (horse tranquilizer), the gigolo plan sounds "okay," and they set the plan in motion. In the morning, Joel tries to call it off, but Brad has already slept with Suzie. The impending lawsuit threatens a buy-out offer from General Mills, but the employees aren't so keen with the rumored take-over and potential loss of jobs. Suzie is about to confess to the affair after ending it, but Joel tells her Brad was hired -- though not for 15 trysts total -- to woo her; she storms out of the house. Things begin to settle down after Joel and Brian meet with Step's bus-stop bench advertising lawyers, and Step realizes Cindy was using him, drops the suit providing he can be floor manager (which was in the works anyway); Step comes back to work, Joel announces he's not selling, and Suzie tells off the windbag neighbor, who drops dead. At the funeral, they both agree to attend a dinner the neighbor was pestering them to go to (both of them told him no), and the decide to go together in the same car; we close with Step's former lawyer trying to get his car back from Cindy, only to find she's stolen his sports car, leaving him with the pickup truck she stole from Step.
